This is a quick tip for any one who wants to share a draft of any WordPress post with clients who doesn’t have access to WordPress admin dashboard before making it live on the site.
This could be a very useful feature for any business site or any blog who publishes articles on behalf of of their clients, just to make them go through the draft quickly.
Generally WordPress automatically creates draft of any article which is not yet published, the drafts post can be checked in All Posts > All posts as we as under Drafts in the back end dashboard.
Now, how to share a draft post with anyone who doesn’t have access to the back end of the WordPress admin.
Share a draft,a very simple but useful WordPress plugin which will create a link for you when you wants to share a particular draft post with anyone who doesn’t have access to the WordPress admin.
You can download the plugin here, once the plugin is installed and activated you will get a new option called share a draft in the post section of your WordPress admin.
When you want to share any draft post link with any third party, just go inside your Share a Draft section, you will need to choose your draft for sharing. You will then need to set the timer for how long the live link is available.
You can set the time in hours as well as days as per your requirement, once the set time is over, the draft link will stop working
Now, to get the link for the draft post, click on share a draft. In the new window you will have an option to select the post which you want to share and set the time as per your requirement.
The system will create a link for you which you can share with any third party to show them the draft post.
Note: This plugin is not updated for more than 2 years, however it still works perfectly up to the latest version of WordPress.
