Google analytics by Yoast gets a major update, now it supports universal analytics tracking which is being introduced by Google.

The Google analytics by Yoast now supports Universal tracking, you have to first enable Universal Analytics in you Google Analytics account so that you can use that feature with this analytics plugin.
Once you transfer your site to Universal Analytics in you Google Analytics account, you have to enable Universal tracking on your Google analytics by Yoast dashboard.
Another new feature which is being added to the plugin is the support for Demographics and Interest reports. Again like the Universal tracking feature if you want to make the use of the Demographics and Interest tracking feature, you have to first update your analytics account.
To enable that service go to Audience > Demographics > Overview in your analytics account and enable the service.
Once that is done, you can enable this tracking in Google analytics by Yoast dashboard
The Yoast team plans to have dedicated Analytics Dashboard inside the WordPress Admin, they will be merging Google Analytics Dashboard plugin to get this job done in the version 5.1
